Dr. Ling knew from a young age the impact a smile could make in a person’s life from his own experience with his dentist. After he attended the Michael E. Debakey High School for Health Professions and rotated through a dental preceptorship at the University of Texas School of Dentistry here in Houston, he then knew it would be his calling.
Dr. Ling attended the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree, graduating with high honors and distinctions in both dental education and dental research.
Upon graduation, his quest for continual improvement would see him return to UT Houston for a 2-year general practice residency where he would learn advanced oral surgery, implants, orthodontics, endodontics, fixed and removable prosthodontics, cosmetics, sedation, and management of special care patients.
Following residency, he has furthered his education by completing a 2-year hands-on orthodontic course with the Academy of GP Orthodontics and earning his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, a designation that only 6% of all general dentists currently hold. He is currently taking hundreds of hours in continuing education encompassing all facets of dentistry and is working towards mastership—a distinction awarded to only 2% of general dentists—by 2026. This relentless pursuit of education, including implantology, has earned him a fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists—the world’s largest organization relating to the advancement of dental implants—in 2023.
His interests lie in comprehensive treatment and digital dentistry, and how effective utilization of both can provide optimal care and enhance communication with patients.
Since June 2024, Dr. Ling has been the proud owner of West Road Dental, now Parkway Modern Dentistry. He is honored to carry on the legacy of people-first patient care that has been the hallmark of Dr. Lepow’s tenure and intends to carry that tradition forward.
Dr. Ling is married to his high school sweetheart, Mackenzi, and they are proud parents to a young son and daughter.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Clear Aligners, Academy of GP Orthodontics, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
A native Houstonian, Dr. Lepow entered the University of Texas Dental Branch at the age of 19. Understanding that cosmetic dentistry is constantly evolving, Dr. Lepow considers himself a lifetime student and educator. His relentless study and accomplishments in cosmetic dentistry, occlusion, and TMJ function have added to his extraordinary passion for dentistry.
He is a charter member of the Texas Aesthetic Masters, founded by the prestigious California-based Hornbrook Cosmetic Dental Group. Dr. Lepow has been locally and nationally recognized as one of America’s “Top Dentists” and has appeared in Vogue magazine. He has been recognized as a “Top Doctor and Top Dentist” in H Magazine three years running.
Dr. Lepow is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society.
Dr. Ruby Peña is a compassionate and dedicated general dentist who takes pride in building lasting relationships with patients of all ages. Originally from South Texas, she now calls Houston home and is proud to serve its diverse community. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Peña values clear, empathetic communication to ensure every patient feels heard, understood, and cared for.
She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree with high distinction from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, and pediatric dentistry. Outside the dental office, Charleen and her husband stay busy raising their five wonderful children. She loves spending time with her large family, attending school and sporting events, and is excited to begin planning family vacations now that their newest addition is a bit older.
Cheri is a dedicated dental hygienist who has been serving the Texas community since 1997, after relocating from her home state of California.
