The Story of Our Dental Practice
Finding Its Way Home.

Heritage
Inspired by a positive experience with his childhood dentist, Dr. Alexander Ling earned his dental degree and completed a rigorous two-year general practice residency, gaining advanced restorative and surgical skills. After three and a half years practicing in Pasadena, Dr. Ling felt called back to his community in Houston, which led him to West Road Dental.
Legacy
Dr. Kenneth Lepow's energy and passion left a lasting impression on Dr. Ling, and their shared values led to a strong partnership when Dr. Ling officially joined the practice in May 2022. After many discussions about its future, Dr. Lepow entrusted the legacy of West Road Dental to Dr. Ling, who took over as owner in June 2024, continuing its tradition of excellence and empathy.
Roots
Founded in 1977 as Lepow Dental, the practice started in an 800-square-foot strip center in a town of 700 people. As Jersey Village grew, so did the practice. In 2000, Dr. Lepow moved to a 1.3-acre site off West Road, adopting the name West Road Dental as Jersey Village’s population hit 5,000. For 25 years, the practice thrived, but its location kept it apart from the community it served.
Evolution
After nearly five decades, the practice is finally relocating to the heart of Jersey Village, deeply embedded within the community that shaped us into who we are. Our new name, Parkway Modern Dentistry, not only reflects our central location but also our commitment to providing the highest quality, contemporary dental care possible. At long last, after 48 years, we've come home.
